Debut party

The debutante

January 31st, 1991 is the birthday of a cute and beautiful girl!. She is now grown up and has matured into a lovely lady. She is Siena and she quotes, "Once in a lifetime you turn 18, never again will this age be seen. I'm inviting you all to help make this event a memorable one".

I know it takes lot of time to plan this grand party. When I reached my eigthteenth birthday

I was far away from home ( was in Manila for studies) then I was just greeted by the staff, friends and they surprised me with a cake, some gifts and a lunch together at the refectory.

Actually, a debutante (debut or presentation ball) (from the French débutante, "female beginner") is a young lady from an aristocratic or upper class family who has reached the age of maturity, and as a new adult, is introduced to society at a formal presentation known as her "debut" or " coming out". Originally, it meant the young woman was eligible for marriage, and part of the purpose was to display her to eligible bachelors and their families with a view to marriage within a select upper class circle. This traditional event varies by region, but is typically
referred to as a "debutante ball" if it is for a group of debutantes. A lone debutante might have her own "coming-out party", or she might have a party with a sister or other close relative.

In the Philippines, this is an important event to all teenagers and very exciting when this time comes with the girl nearly turning 18.

So Siena got what she wanted..a grand party..! Everyone really enjoyed the party and wished her good. Hope she has matured enough to face all the challenges in her life as she begins the step of her own journey.
